What we believe

What we believe

1. Our God is one (Deuteronomy 6:4), manifested in three distinct Persons: the Person of the Father, the Person of the Son and the Person of the Holy Spirit - one Eternal God who exists as the Holy Trinity (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1, 14; 14:16)

2. The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by the prophets and holy men of God under direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy.3:16)

3. Man was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27). But when by man's disobedience sin entered the world, God offered us reconciliation by the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity. By faith in Him, in His death, burial and resurrection, we can have eternal life (Romans10:9-10). He took our sins on Himself and He carried our transgressions (Isaiah 53:5), so we would never have to experience eternal punishment or separation from God (Romans 4:25).

4. Water baptism through immersion is a direct command of our Lord (Matthew 28:19) and a symbol of the believer's identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

5. Baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift promised by the Lord to all believers (Acts 2:39). This experience is confirmed by the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

6. Healing of bodily diseases is available to all believers, by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:5, Mat 8:17, 1P.2:24).

7. Jesus Christ will return in glory in the same way He was taken up to Heaven (Acts 1:11). When He comes again, first those who have died will be resurrected in Christ. Then those who are still alive will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
